Photo Caption Request

I snapped this cute picture of my 4 year old from my iPhone. I didn't spend any real time centering it or planning anything and it wasn't till I sent it to my email that I noticed

1) There's a horse on the wall
2) She's wearing her big sister's horse shirt
3) There's a horse statue in the bottom right hand corner on the bookshelf

Serendipitous for a photo, I'd say. Imagine how extra cute it would be if I had my good Nikon pointed and planned on capturing all the horseness and that absolutely fabulous face of the little girl in the foreground!

I feel like this needs the perfect Photo Caption or Title. Anyone have any ideas?

Read only if you have 90 seconds to spare...

Yesterday I was driving in my car and I felt inspired.

Creativity seemed to flood my consciousness and I felt an uncontrollable urge to write or sing or dance or heck, make a scrap book or something!

Here I am with C.S. Lewis. That's what I'm talking about...creative genius! Me and Lew go way back.

I just knew if I could pull over and get my hands on some kind of medium, I could have whipped up the next best painting or served the next best culinary dish.

Those of you who know me IRL know that art and cooking are not my forte. But that’s how creative I was feeling at that moment!

Alas, I drove to the bank and deposited my check, ran in to the grocery store to get milk and by the time I got home, the feeling had passed.

I read on facebook from a singer/song writer that I know (DHJ) that he was feeling his recent attempt to write a song was coming out cheesy.

Now that my fleeting moment of inventiveness has slipped by me, yet knowing I want to update my blog more frequently, I hope my posts do not come out cheesy. I even can’t stand the word cheesy. And so far, this current post has been nothing but cheesy trying to talk about NOT being cheesy.

But I do like to eat cheese. With crackers and a glass of wine.
This is my current favorite glass of wine right now. Love it.

Regarding the things I’ve promised in my last post that I intend to write about, they're still coming. You’re all so kind to eagerly anticipate them. Coming soon. Waiting for another stroke of imaginative wonderfulness to fall upon me.
I’ll give my blog a new look so at least it will be worth your while to have dropped by.
If it took you longer than 90 seconds to read this...my apologies.

An Assortment of Things Yet to Come

Ohhh there's so many things I want to write about!

And isn't it just the way it goes...I go for weeks between posts then all of a sudden, my brain is gushing with things to put down on paper. er, screen. whatever.

But anyway, the sad part is, I don't have very much available time these next few days. But I wanted to give a quickie to let you know that I'm still here and have lots of great things to come.

The first thing: I am not pregnant. My two sisters are. I've received several private emails (and special comments here and on facebook) asking me how I am doing with this news.
If you're new to this blog or don't know me IRL, I seem to have had a mysterious inability to get pregnant again. Hence the emails from y'all asking how I'm doing. I just love friends.
So this is one of the topics I have floating in my fingertips ready to whip out on the computer keyboard.

The second thing: Tomorrow (June 13) is my daughter's birthday! She's turning 7. This is her first birthday to be celebrated with us as her family. Should be pretty special. Will post pictures and give everyone a glimpse into her special day.

The third thing: July marks one year that the girls have been home. ONE YEAR. Holy guacamole. Time went by both super duper lightning fast and super duper creepy crawly slow.
I've got lots of progress reports to share about their development in just one year. Hold on to your hat, they're whole new kids!

The fourth thing: I've got some stuff about homeschooling that I want talk about. Inevitably at this time of year, people often ask "Will you be homeschooling throughout the summer?" My answer is YES! So I want to lay out my reasons on paper (screen?) and share with everyone else who might be wondering.

Will try not to keep you waiting for too long for each of these posts. But, like everyone else who has kids and summer is starting, we're busy around here! :)
